The Genesis and History of HAAS Global Solutions

Occasionally, we get asked, “How did HAAS Global Solutions come into existence, specializing in oil and gas engineering services?” Well, the story begins over two decades ago in the Netherlands. Mr. Raymond Haas, the founder, was visiting an offshore drilling site to offer his expertise. During a routine inspection, the site manager invited him to examine a newly constructed drilling platform. It was an impressive sight – a marvel of engineering with state-of-the-art equipment, gleaming under the sun. However, despite the flawless construction and cutting-edge technology, the platform was only producing half of its expected output. The issue wasn’t with the equipment or construction but with the initial engineering design, which was flawed.

This experience ignited a vision in Mr. Haas to create a company that would focus on providing top-notch oil and gas engineering services, ensuring that projects were designed correctly from the start. In early 2009, Mr. Haas, along with a team of dedicated professionals, established HAAS Global Solutions. The mission was clear: to offer unparalleled technical expertise, ensure compliance, and provide third-party verification for project integrity and safety. Fifteen years ago, HAAS Global Solutions expanded its horizons by moving its headquarters to the United States, specifically to the bustling Chicago counties. This strategic move allowed the company to better serve its clients across the United States and beyond.
